StuConnect is only for verified university students, and the community is actively moderated.

  • University emails onlyYou can only join with a verified Ontario university email address.
  • Your school, your communityYou only see students, posts and tutors from your own university.
  • Monitored chatsMessages and photos are checked for threats, hate and scams, and can be reviewed by moderators.
  • Message requestsSomeone new has to be accepted before they can keep messaging you or send photos.
  • Reviewed tutors, protected paymentsEvery tutor is approved by StuConnect. Your payment is held until after the session, and you have 48 hours to report a problem.
  • Report and block anyoneReport a student, message, post or tutor in two taps, and block people you don’t want to hear from.
  • Delete your account any timeRight from the app. Your profile and content are removed.

Is StuConnect free?

Yes. StuConnect is free for students.

Who can join?

Students with an email address from one of the Ontario universities listed above. You sign in with a one-time code sent to that email.

Can I use it for homework help?

Yes. Ask questions, explain concepts and share study resources. Don’t post exam answers or anything your course doesn’t allow; academic integrity rules still apply.

Are my messages private?

Only the people in a chat can read it. To keep students safe, messages and photos are automatically checked, and StuConnect moderators can review them when something is flagged or reported. See our Privacy Policy.

When does it launch?

The iPhone beta is open now: install TestFlight from the App Store, then join the StuConnect beta. The App Store and Android versions are coming soon. Sign up below and we’ll email you when it’s ready.

Can I add my classes to my calendar?

Yes. In the app, go to Me → Add classes to my calendar. It works with Apple, Google and Outlook Calendar and updates by itself.
